SV860 Self-Leveling Silicone Sealant High-Performance Joint Sealing
Product Description
Feature
1. Ease of Use: Self-leveling, no trimming required.
2.No Primer Needed: Neutral cure ensures strong adhesion to concrete and asphalt without primer.
3.Long Service Life: Excellent long-term weather resistance; unaffected by sunlight, rain, snow, UV, or ozone. Maintains elasticity at -40°C without hardening or brittleness and resists flow/degradation at +150°C.
4.High Displacement Capacity: Accommodates concrete joint movements (expansion, contraction, shear) without failure.
5.Low Modulus: Generates minimal stress on concrete substrates during deformation, preventing surface damage.
6.High Elasticity & Recovery: Rapid response and recovery with minimal permanent deformation.
Colors
Standard color: Gray. Custom colors available.
Package
25 kg plastic pail. Custom packaging available upon request.
Applications
1. Sealing joints in airport runways and highways to withstand large displacements.
2.Sealing joints in other concrete pavements.
3.Sealing applications in subway systems, tunnels, and bridges.

Usage Precautions
--Avoid application in severe weather conditions.
--Not suitable for vertical surfaces.
--Do not apply to frosted, wet, oily, plasticizer-exuding, or solvent-contaminated surfaces.
--Avoid continuous immersion in water or oil.
--Ensure adequate ventilation during curing (releases acetic acid).
--Substrate temperature must be between 4°C and 40°C during application.
--Sealant should be installed slightly below the pavement surface to prevent wear.
--Material Compatibility: Not recommended for copper, lead, galvanized metal, or polycarbonate surfaces.
Shelf-life and storage
Store in a cool, dry place below 27°C. Shelf life: 9 months from production date.
Technical Support
Full technical documentation provided.
Adhesion Testing: Conduct small-scale field tests before large-scale application to verify adhesion.
Application Procedure
(1) Joint Preparation
a) Cutting (New Joints) or Cleaning (Existing Joints):
Cutting: Perform secondary cutting after concrete curing to achieve designed joint dimensions.
Cleaning: Remove old sealant residues using solvents, sandblasting, or mechanical grinding.
b) High-Pressure Water Jet Cleaning: Remove debris from joints
c) Drying: Allow joints to air-dry.
d) High-Pressure Air Blasting (≥0.62 MPa): Remove fine particles using oil-free, dry air.
(2) Backing Material Installation
Install backing material immediately after cleaning. Refer to Table 1 for specifications.
Table 1: Backing Material Installation Guidelines (Shallow Joints, Unit: mm)
| Joint Width | 6 | 9 | 13 | 19 | 25 |
| Recess Depth | 9 | 9 | 9 | 9 | 9–13 |
| Sealant Thickness | 6 | 6 | 6 | 6 | 13 |
| Backing Rod Diameter | 9 | 13 | 16 | 22 | 32 |
| Total Joint Depth | 25–29 | 29–32 | 32–35 | 41–44 | 57–60 |
(3) Primer Application (If Required)
Use primer only for specific substrates as recommended by the manufacturer.
(4) Sealant Application
a) Insert applicator nozzle into the joint to ensure bubble-free filling from the bottom.
b) Maintain consistent application speed to avoid overfilling or underfilling.
c) Adjust nozzle size and machine speed for optimal flow control.
d) Use a finishing tool to smooth the surface and ensure full contact with joint walls.
e) Inspect for defects (e.g., bubbles, gaps) and rectify immediately.
Quality Control
Pre-Application Test: Perform a 1-meter trial section. After curing, conduct adhesion tests. For critical projects (e.g., airport runways), extend test length to 30 meters.
Post-Application Test: Perform adhesion tests after full curing. Increase frequency for critical applications.
--Field Adhesion Test Method
--Cut the sealant perpendicular to the joint.
--Slice 80 mm along both sides of the joint.
--Mark a 20 mm reference line on the sealant.
--Stretch the sealant vertically until the mark reaches 60–80 mm.
--Pass criteria: No interfacial failure between sealant and substrate.
Safety Precautions
Non-toxic after full curing. Avoid eye contact with uncured product. Rinse eyes with water and seek medical attention if exposed.
Keep away from children. Ensure ventilation during curing to disperse acetic acid vapors.
Warranty
Compliant with ISO 9001/14001/OHSAS 18001 standards. Quality assurance certificate provided upon purchase.
Maintenance
Generally maintenance-free. For repairs, follow Section 10 procedures.
